Laboratory technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform ELISA, Western-Blot, qPCR experiments according to SOPs and following GCLP guidelines
  • Culture cell lines and primary cells
  • Sample and material logistics; biobanking
  • Ensure that test results are properly encoded following GCLP guidelines
  • Histological sectioning (paraffin) and macroscopical examinations of tissue samples; handling of rodents
  • Contribute to the review/preparation of SOPs and/or study documents
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Stock keeping, follow-up of raw material, and complete purchase orders
  • Data analysis and interpretation, monitoring of assay performance and troubleshooting

Profile

  • Bachelor in Life Sciences or closely related fields
  • First experience working in a lab environment (internships in Biotech / Pharma/ Academia) using standard lab techniques (ELISA, Western Blot, qPCR)
  • Willing to work with animals; Felasa B/C is a plus
  • Experience with cell cultures and histology/ immunohistochemistry/ immunofluorescence is a plus
  • Experience with sample and/or material logistics is a plus
  • Fluent in French (written and spoken), English (written)
