Medical Imaging

Imaging is often used as a screening purpose and a key success factor is fast delivery of results. Patients images are sent electronically from sites to Artialis’ radiologists via our web platform.  Screening results are then sent back to the investigator(s) either via the webplatform or by email. The whole process may take less than 24 hours if required by the study.

Each imaging site will receive study-specific imaging training by Artialis’ staff before study start. Training may be performed on site or via a web conference. If deemed necessary during the study, re-training may also be planned. For all imaging studies, we also provide a study-specific imaging procedure document as a reference for site.

During the trial, all images are carefully monitored at reception by our imaging technicians and radiologists for compliance with study procedure. We thus ensure that all images will be analyzable at the end of the study and that site remains compliant throughout the study.

In the vast majority of studies, images can be acquired at different imaging sites provided that image acquisition parameters have been standardized.

If Artialis is in charge of the whole study, we’ll take care of imaging site selection, parameters standardization and site qualification. 

If Artialis is in charge of imaging aspects only, we’ll contact the pre-selected imaging site(s) and assess its(their) capability to participate to the study (equipment, manpower, etc.). We will then proceed with imaging parameters standardization and qualify the site(s).
